Anatoly Bose looks forward toward potential workouts with NBA teams
This spring and summer, former Nicholls State University basketball standout Anatoly Bose turns his attention to preparing for the 2011 NBA Draft. The eighth ranked scorer in the nation last season, Bose will be checking in periodically to update Colonel fans on what he is doing to improve his chances at earning a career in professional basketball. In his second edition, Bose tells Nicholls looks forward toward possible workouts with NBA teams.
Hey Colonel Fans,
This week I am back in Chicago to continue my training to prepare for the NBA draft. Let me first say congratulations to everyone who graduated, especially my teammate Justin 'lil bill' Ayers, and I wish y'all a blissful and successful future.
I would also like to extend a special thank you to everyone who supported me throughout my Colonel years, on and off the court. Nicholls has been a wonderful home for me, and it helped me achieve more than I could dream of. I will always have a place in my heart for such a great institution, and I can't wait till I visit the little town of Thibodaux again.
Since I'm a graduated man, I have no more exams to study for, discussion boards to write, or assessments to hand in, which leaves all my time to focus on basketball. With that said, that is exactly what I have been doing since coming back to Chicago last Friday. My trainers Josh Oppenheimer and Ryan Thompson have been working extra hard to improve on my weaknesses and sharpen my strengths. Ryan has helped me with my agility, quickness, flexibility, and diet, while Josh has taken care of all my on court needs: shooting, dribbling, and defense.
With all this intense training it is good to have a bit of balance in your life and take some down time. Last Sunday I was lucky enough to get tickets to the Bulls vs. Heat game from my good mate Brad. I have never been to an NBA playoff game and I wasn't disappointed. The atmosphere was electric and the Chicago Bulls ended up winning quiet easily. I must be good luck.
Soon I will start NBA team workouts. These workouts consist of about an hour of basketball skill work and competition with 3-5 other players followed by interviews. I will write exactly how each workout goes, and keep y'all updated on what I will be doing next in my life.
Take Care
