Jesse Turner and, were named to the 2011 Phil Steele's Magazine Preseason All-Southland Conference second-team.
Felder, who earned first-team All-SLC in 2010, finished in the top 5 of the Southland Conference last season in interceptions (4) and passes defended (11). The McComb, Miss. native recorded 33 tackles on the season, including two for loss. Felder also accounted for a two 50-plus yard plays on special teams, taking a blocked field goal 70 yards for a touchdown, while also returning a punt for 52 yards.
Turner, a native of Houma, La., was selected as second-team All-SLC last year after a breakout sophomore season. He rushed for 638 yards and eight touchdowns in 2010 and led the conference with 5.7 yards per carry. Turner also had a knack for explosive plays, scoring touchdowns on a 95-yard reception and an 87-yard run. In nine games, Turner led the Colonels with 105.1 all-purpose yards per game.
