The Colonels are tenth after two rounds at the Jim West Intercollegiate
VICTORIA, Texas – The Nicholls State University men's golf team is currently in tenth place in the Jim West Intercollegiate with one round left to go tomorrow.
Kristjan Einarsson remains among the top ten individuals, sitting in a tie for fourth place heading into the final round.
Einarsson fired off four birdies on the first, fifth, seventh and 17th holes to finish the day with another two-under, 70, for a two-day score of four-under par. If not for two bogeys on the on the front nine he would challenge Idaho's Jared Bossio after taking a commanding lead with a six-under, 66 second round, as Einarsson is now four strokes back.
After shooting a 292 on Sunday, the Colonels had a team score of 305 on Monday for a two-round score of 597, with just four strokes total separating the 7-10 teams on the leaderboard.
Andri Bjornsson moved up for the Colonels on Tuesday, shooting a two-over, 74 for a two-day score of 150 and in a tie for 32nd place.
Werlien Prosperie is currently tied for 56th after shooting a 79 on Tuesday for a score of 153, followed by
Florentino Molina Herran's 83 for a score of 156 and
Petur Petursson's 82 for a score of 157.
The Colonels will begin the final round of the Jim West Intercollegiate on Tuesday morning at 8 a.m.
