THIBODAUX, La. – Nicholls State University has announced the starting times for its four home football games for the 2012 season.

Three of the four contests for the upcoming campaign will be under the lights with 6 p.m. start times, including the Colonels home opener against Evangel University on Sept. 22. The matchup against the Crusaders will mark the second straight season that the Colonels have hosted Evangel for its John L. Guidry Stadium debut.

On Oct. 13, the Colonels are set to take on the national runner-up Sam Houston State at 6 p.m for Homecoming. Following two games on the road, Nicholls returns to Colonel Country to host McNeese State on Nov. 3 for Family Day, with kickoff slated for 3 p.m.

The final home contest of 2012 pits the Colonels against Southeastern Louisiana in the River Bell Classic. The Thursday night showdown between the bitter rivals is scheduled for 6 p.m.
