Manning Passing Academy Returns to Nicholls in July
THIBODAUX, La. – The Manning Passing Academy returns to the campus of Nicholls State University in Thibodaux for its seventh season beginning Thursday, July 12 and running through Sunday, July 15. Returning with the MPA will be the 2012 Iberia Bank Air-it-Out and Quarterback Challenge, presented by Wheaties, scheduled for a 6 p.m. start on Saturday, July 14 on Manning Field at John L. Guidry Stadium.
The annual Air-it-Out Session has become the highlight of the Manning Passing Academy, as former New Orleans Saints quarterback Archie Manning, along with current NFL signal callers Peyton and Eli Manning are scheduled to participate. Every year, top quarterbacks and wide receivers from both the college and professional ranks square off in an exhibition highlighting the skills being taught at one of the nation's premier skills position football camps.
Some of the best quarterbacks and receivers in the nation will work as camp counselors for the academy, as last year 36 collegiate and professional QBs participated in the Air-It-Out Session. Two-time Heisman Trophy runner-up Andrew Luck of Stanford, and Kellen Moore of Boise State were just some of big names that were on hand for the event last year.
Tickets will be available for $8 from now until the day of the event, $10 at the door and sold online through Nicholls' brand-new ticket website, nichollstickets.com. Powered by University Tickets, nichollstickets.com will allow fans to purchase and pre-order season and single-game tickets to all future Nicholls sporting events.
