THIBODAUX, La. – With the Nicholls State University football team slated to open postseason play at Manning Field at John L. Guidry Stadium Saturday versus South Dakota at 3 p.m., the Nicholls Department of Athletics wants to remind fans of several things as they prepare to travel to the game, tailgate, and cheer on the Colonels.
NCAA PLAYOFF TICKET INFORMATION
A very limited number of premium chairback ($35) and reserved bleacher ($25) tickets remain available. General admission tickets are $20, which is the same price as they will be on gameday. Tickets can be purchased online at
NichollsTickets.com and in-person at the Nicholls Athletic Ticket Office. On-line sales will be suspended beginning at 10 p.m. Friday night.
As a reminder, the Nicholls Athletic Ticket Office will be open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday leading up to the game. The Ticket Office
WILL NOT BE OPEN on gameday; instead, the northwest and northeast ticket booths and will call at Guidry Stadium will be open beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Please consider purchasing on-line or in advance to secure your ticket and avoid long lines! Refunds cannot be issued on tickets purchased.
GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS
Fans purchasing general admission tickets are encouraged to enter Guidry Stadium to secure their seat early for this game. While a general admission ticket does guarantee admittance into the stadium, it does not guarantee a section, row, or seat. Fans with general admission tickets are reminded to sit in West Side Sections A, B, H, and I, along with East Side Sections D-I.
STUDENT TICKETS AND SEATING
Due to the generosity of the Nicholls Student Government Association and Student Programming Association, Nicholls students may receive one ticket by visiting the Nicholls Athletic Ticket Office during operating hours Friday.
THESE SPECIAL STUDENT TICKETS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AT THE GATES! On gameday, students will only be able to purchase tickets at regular price.
Students are reminded to sit in East Side Sections A-C. The Pride of Nicholls Marching Band will also be seated in East Side Section B.
PARKING UPDATES
Regrettably, parking passes will not be offered with Colonel Quarter suite tickets due to special circumstances in the usual parking area. Similarly, season parking passes are not valid for this FCS playoff game.
Fans desiring premium parking are encouraged to park in gravel lots 14 and 15 directly west of Guidry Stadium. These lots will open at 7 a.m. on gameday and cost $20 per vehicle. RVs will park in Lot 13 and are $60 per vehicle.
Madewood Drive and Colonel Drive will not be available for the public to park and tailgate.
Colonel Drive and Acadia Drive (from Ardoyne to Barker Hall) will also serve as coach, student-athlete, staff, and student parking, in addition to Lot 17.
A map of campus is available here:

TAILGATING UPDATES
Similarly, season tailgating passes will not be valid for this FCS playoff game. Colonel Village tailgating pass holders were sent renewal notifications Sunday, November 19. The cost of a tailgating pass is $60. If you have not renewed, please do so immediately by contacting
Sean Beam at
sean.beam@nicholls.edu, as extremely limited spots remain available.
Additionally, those reserving a tailgating spot may be able to park in Lot 12 (directly behind Continuing Education Building) based on availability. Please note that these spaces are limited as Lot 12 will also accommodate the Alumni tailgate tent, as well as the Nicholls Bookstore tent.
ALCOHOL
In order to be compliant with host operations requirements, alcohol will not be made available for purchase inside or outside the stadium, except for the fact it will be distributed in the Colonel Quarters suites.
Please note that the consumption of alcohol is still permitted in tailgate areas. Fans are reminded to please tailgate responsibly.
COLD ZONE ROOM
So as to be consistent with NCAA Championships best practices, fans seated in premium chairback seats will not have access to the Coors Light Cold Zone as this area will not be open to the public.
The Cold Zone room will serve as a game operations center and will accommodate working media, game management staff, medical personnel, and will serve as the site of the postgame press conference.
