Prior to Nicholls:

At Baton Rouge Community College: Was a member of the first-ever conference championship winning team at BRCC, earning the award for the highest grade point average on the team that season.

At Central Private School: In his senior season at CPS, was a part of a district championship, regional and state tournament team for the Rebels, while also being named to the all-district team, district most valuable player, all-south state, all-state and all-overall team, which recognized the top players in all classes in the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools... Was named to the MAIS All-Star team, where he won the dunk contest during the festivities... Was named the team overall and defensive MVP awards... Was teammates with current Colonel Piers Carroll.

Personal: Full name is Alex Joseph Overs, born March 15 in Sydney, Australia... Son of John and Suzi... Has three siblings in Jacob, Luke and Matt.. Luke playe for two seasons at Georgia and State University, playing on the developmental team for the Sydney Kings... Majoring in mass communications.
