THIBODAUX  - The Colonel Athletic Association and the Alumni Federation will be sponsoring a pregame tailgate for the Nicholls State University football game at Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday, Sept. 17.

The event will begin at noon, with food and refreshments provided until kickoff, which is scheduled for 6 p.m. The designated area for the Nicholls tailgate is located on the south end of Cajun Field by the visiting locker room, just off Reinhardt Drive. Those who plan on attending are encouraged to bring as many Nicholls fans as possible. 

"I am really excited about the upcoming game against UL Lafayette,” Executive Director of the CAA Brandon Ruttley said. “Nicholls has a ton of alumni in that area and both of our schools share the same fans. I am also looking forward to teaming up with the Alumni Federation for this huge event."

The matchup between the in-state universities will be only the third in the programs' histories, with ULL holding a 2-0 record. Tickets for the game, scheduled for  6 p.m., can be purchases at 985-448-4790 in advance or by the calling the ULL ticket office.
