Nicholls Football Holds Third Annual Colonel Football Pride Day

THIBODAUX, La. – For the third consecutive year, the Nicholls State University football program conducted Colonel Football Pride Day, consisting of team members cleaning facilities in Barker Hall which included the weight room, training room, meeting rooms and locker room.

With Friday being the final day of summer conditioning, Nicholls football head coach Charlie Stubbs used the time to provide a facelift to the Colonel amenities.

“This is our third year that we've held Colonel Pride Day,” said Coach Stubbs.  “We have continued to improve our facilities each year since I've been here, so this is a great way for our players to show their gratitude. A little bit of hard work goes a long way. It's also positive as it allows our players and coaches to work together as we head into fall camp.”

The Colonels will have a few days off next week prior to reporting for fall camp on Thursday, August 2. The team will hit the field for the first time on Friday night, with its opening practice set for 7:15 p.m.
