Patrick Dolan was named Southland Conference Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday after helping to keep Nicholls in the game against Sam Houston State, punting a total of six times for an average of 51.3 yards/punt. Dolan had punts of 61, 68, 37, 51, 51 and 40 yards in the game.
The Mobile, Ala. native also handled kickoff duties, kicking off twice for an average of 63.3 yards a kickoff.
The weekly award marks Dolan’s first of this season from the conference, and second time in his career he has received the recognition from the league. His last came in the 2008 season.
