LaQuinton Caston was named Southland Conference and Louisiana Sports Writers Association Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season on Monday.

Caston  led Nicholls to a 37-7 victory at Northwestern State on Saturday, giving Nicholls five wins in their last eight match-ups with the Demons.

Caston rushed the ball 18 times to record 134 of the Colonels' 238 yards on the ground. Meanwhile, through the air, Caston connected on seven of 11 pass attempts for 79 yards and a score.  The Baton Rouge native scrambled for touchdown runs of two, 22 and 39 yards and connected on a seven-yard touchdown pass to Kenyad Blair to lead the Colonels past Northwestern State.
