Babin, meanwhile, turned in a stellar freshman campaign, finishing with a 12.9 point/game average.  The Gonzales native led the league in minutes played, finished third in thea league (and 54th nationally) in three pointers per game (2.6), fourth in the league in steals/game (2.4), eighth in assists/game (3.6), 12th in assist/turnover ratio (3.6) and 15th in the league in scoring average (12.9).
