THIBODAUX, La. - After jumping out to a 2-1 conference start, the Colonels volleyball team seemed to play inspired ball in wins over McNeese and Southeastern. With a chance to add another win in conference play, Central Arkansas came close to having three players with double digit kills, while the Colonels only hit .087 on the night in UCA's three-set (30-21, 30-21, 30-17) win Friday night.

Kindra Halverson was the only player with over ten kills for the Colonels, while five Nicholls players had negative attack percentages.Amicha Williams and Evaree Franklin both had 11 kils, while Chloe Smith had 9.

As a team, UCA hit over .300 with no Sugar Bear player having a negative hitting percentage, and four players with either a .250 percent or above.While the Colonels would have 25 errors in the game, UCA would finish with 45 kills and 10 errors on the entire night.

Enjoli Ford did her best to keep the Colonels in the game, finishing with 22 digs, before switching sides and trying to get on the offensive, but only finished with two kills on nine attempts.

The Colonels will be back in action tomorrow against the conference-winless Northwestern State Lady Demons at Noon.
