NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Green Wave defeated the Lady Colonels 69-47 in the New Orleans Arena Wednesday evening as both teams closed out the non-conference portions of their schedule.

Tulane dominated the post as they accumulated 43 rebounds to Nicholls' 33, while accumulating 32-points in the paint to the Lady Colonels 16. The Green Wave also had 40 bench points to Nicholls' 12.

The Lady Colonels (2-9) had only one player in double-figures as senior Katherine Plummer did the honors with 17 points. Plummer, who was 8-of-20 from field goal range and 1-of-3 from three-point territory, had a team best three steals and a game high 37 minutes of play.

The Green Wave (10-3) used a total of 14 players in the victory, and of the 14 that set foot on the hardwood, three of them were in double-digits. Brittany Lindsey and Alendra Brown each had 12, while Tiffany Aidoo put forth 11 to round out Tulane's 10-plus scorers. Only two of the 14 that played did not register a point in the final stat sheet.

As a team, Nicholls shot 32.8 percent (19-of-58) from the floor and shot 38.5 percent (5-of-13) from downtown for the game, while Tulane shot 43.9 percent (25-of-57) from field goal range and 37.5 percent (3-of-8) from three-point land.

The Lady Colonels will be back in action at Stephen F. Austin on January 10 at 7 p.m. to open up Southland Conference play. Nicholls will not be back at home in Stopher Gym until Saturday January 12 at 2 p.m. against Sam Houston State.
