Final Stats

RUSTON, La. - Nicholls trailed 47-16 at halftime, and Louisiana Tech kept firing on all cylinders in the second half as the Lady Techsters downed the Colonels, 90-33, in the Thomas Assembly Center.

Leading the Colonels (0-2, 0-0 SLC) in the loss was true freshman Jasmine Hoskins with a team best six points and a career-high 11 rebounds. Also recording double-digit rebounds was senior Dominique Washington with 10. Washington did add four points to her stat sheet.

Tying Hoskins in points was senior Christie Bryant with six points and seven rebounds. Senior Tiffany Jones finished with five points, three rebounds and three steals.

Of the Colonels' 33 points in the loss, 24 of them came in the paint, and another 14 came off of turnovers.

Louisiana Tech (2-2, 0-0 WAC) had five players in double-figures, and of the five, two had double-digit rebounds. The Lady Techsters scored 48 of their points in the paint, and piled up 47 points off turnovers.

Nicholls will be back in action on Saturday at Ole Miss. Tip off is set for 3:30 p.m. in Oxford, Miss.
