SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Lady Colonel basketball team dropped to 5-17 (3-8 SLC) Saturday afternoon, losing an 82-41 decision at Texas-San Antonio. The Lady Roadrunners improved to 17-6 (9-1 SLC) and picked up their ninth-straight league win.

Poor shooting from beyond the arc doomed Nicholls who only made 1-of-11 (9.1%) from three point land.

Nicholls was outshot 50.8% to 31.4% by the Lady Roadrunners, who had two players reach double digits in scoring.

Onika Anderson led all scorers with 26 points. She tallied a double-double, adding 12 rebounds on the day.

The Lady Colonels were led offensively by Funaki Kefu, whose 10 points came off of 4-of-7 shooting and 2-of-2 from the free throw line.

Katherine Plummer pulled down a team-high eight rebounds for Nicholls, but was held to just eight points in the contest. Dominique Washington and Tiffany Lewis also poured in eight points a piece for the Lady Colonels.

Lewis sank Nicholls' only three-pointer of the day.

The Lady Colonels were down 37-22 at the halftime mark, but came out slow in the second half and were outscored 45-19 in the final frame.

UTSA won the rebounding contest, pulling down 45 to Nicholls' 27. The Lady Roadrunners grabbed 29 defensive rebounds, two more than the Lady Colonels' total number.

The Lady Roadrunners scored 22 points off of 14 Lady Colonel turnovers, while getting 27 points from the bence to Nicholls' four.

Nicholls continues its February road trip, traveling to Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday, the 23rd for a 3 p.m. tip-off.
