JACKSON, Miss. - The Colonel men's tennis squad swept Sunday's match at Jackson State 7-0 to improve to 7-4 on the season.

In doubles action, Nicholls claimed all three matches. Vlad Popa/Eric Fisher defeated Brandon Nelson/Nicholas Crawford 8-1 at No. 1. At No. 2, Radu Ionescu/Alex Gasca-Silav took a 9-8 (3) victory over Artura Jimenez/Yacouba Traoe, while Sami Mouline/Phenyo Matong defeated Alejandro Martinez/Sergio Salinas 8-6 in the No. 3 match.

At No. 1 singles, Ionescu defeated Nelson 6-0, 6-2, with Fisher claiming the No. 2 match 6-1, 6-0 from Martinez. Popa took the No. 3 match 6-4, 6-2 from Traoe and Matong defeated Salinas 6-3, 6-2 at No. 4. Rounding out the day for Nicholls, Mouline took a 6-4, 6-0 win from Jimenez at No. 5 and Chris Hernandez defeated Crawford 7-6, 3-6, 1-0 in the No. 6 match.
