HAMMOND, La. - The Lady Colonel tennis squad suffered a 7-0 Southland Conference loss Thursday afternoon at Southeastern Louisiana. With the loss, Nicholls falls to 7-4 (2-3 SLC) on the season.

Southeastern claimed all six singles matches, sweeping Nicholls.

At No. 1, Florina Nosca fell 6-1, 7-5 to Emilija Arnaudovska, while Anne-Claire Murier lost 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 to Iva Velkovska. Natalia Zomora dropped the No. 3 match to Breda Kovac 5-7, 6-4, 10-6. In the No. 4 match, Melissa Harrison lost 6-3, 7-5 to Jana Simurkova, and Sanja Stanojcic fell 6-2, 6-4 to Bonnie Phillips at No. 5. At No. 6, Sumana Kalyanasundram suffered a 6-2, 6-3 loss to Nina Knavs.

In doubles action, the Lady Lions swept all three match-ups. Stanojcic/Murier dropped an 8-4 decision to Knavs/Kovac at No. 1. In the No. 2 match, Nosca/Harrison fell 8-5 to Arnaudovska/Velkovska, and Kalyanasundram/Zamora lost the No. 3 match 8-6 to Phillips/Simurkova.

The women will face Louisiana Tech Friday at the Nicholls Tennis Courts.
