THIBODAUX, La. - All six Colonels claimed singles victories Thursday to sweep a 7-0 victory over Bradley at the Nicholls Tennis Courts.

Radu Ionescu defeated Evgeny Samoylov 6-2, 6-1 in the No. 1 slot and, in the No. 2 match, Eric Fisher won 6-1, 6-1 over Milos Romic. At No. 3, Vlad Popa swept Michel Macara 6-0, 6-0. Phenyo Matong won 6-3, 6-4 in the No. 4 match over Vuk Bolic, while Rohan Shetty claimed a 6-1, 6-0 win over Wilder Sampson at No. 5. Alex Gasca-Silav rounded out the singles wins for Nicholls, defeating Richard Robertson 7-5, 6-0 in the No. 6 match.

In doubles action, Ionescu/Popa defeated Romic/Samoylov 8-6 in the No. 1 slot, while Fisher/Matong won 8-3 over Sampson/Bolic at No. 2.

Sami Mouline/Hernandez fell 8-6 to Robertson/Macara in the only loss of the day for the Colonels.

Nicholls will host Alcorn State Wednesday at the Nicholls Tennis Courts. The women's squad will face the Lady Braves at 9 a.m., with the men's match immediately following. Admission to all tennis matches is free.
