NACODOCHES, Texas - The No. 6-seeded Colonel men's tennis squad dropped a 4-0 opening-round decision to No. 3 seed Texas-San Antonio Friday in the Southland Conference Men's Tennis Tournament.

Nicholls finishes the season at 13-8.

Texas-San Antonio captured the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions. In No. 1 doubles, Radu Ionescu and Vlad Popa fell 8-6 to Adam Becker and Andre Moreira, while Sami Mouline and Alex Gasca-Silav were defeated 8-4 by Robin Fernandes and Max Stratmann.

The Roadrunners won three-straight singles matches to claim the victory.

Popa dropped a 6-2, 6-3 No. 2 match to Fernandes and Rohan Shetty fell 6-1, 6-4 to Daniel Moreiras at No. 3. Ionescu was defeated 6-0, 6-3 in the No. 1 slot as UTSA clinched the match 4-0.
