Final Stats

THIBODAUX, La. - The Colonels men's tennis team suffered a tough 4-3 loss to conference foe Texas-Pan American on Wednesday afternoon.

The Colonels (3-5, 0-2) posted wins in singles play with junior Eric Fisher defeating Nirvick Mohinta 6-2, 6-1, and with senior Abhaya Prakash taking down Andrew Irving 2-6, 6-0, 7-6. However, Nicholls fell in all of its other single matches.

Nicholls won the double point, picking up wins at the No.1 and No.2 spots. Prakash and sophomore Radu Ionescu defeated Mohinta and Aswin Vijayaragavan 8-4, and Fisher and junior Phenyo Matong took down Brett Bernstein and Marcus Dornauf 8-6.

Nicholls will be back in action at Southern Miss on Wednesday March 4 at Southern Miss.
