Final Stats

THIBODAUX, La. - Nicholls men's tennis team picked up two wins over the weekend by defeating Southern 6-0 on Thursday and Jackson State 7-0 on Friday at the Colonel Tennis Complex.

The Colonels (10-8) got big wins singles from senior Abhaya Prakash and Radu Ionescu against Southern. Prakash picked up a 7-5, 6-1 victory in No.1 singles, while Ionescu picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win in the No.2 slot.

After their win over the Jaguars, Nicholls made quick work of Jackson State with a 7-0 victory at the Colonel Tennis Complex on Friday. Prakash and Ionescu put forth another impressive showing, but junior Eric Fisher stole the show by posting a 6-0, 6-3 victory. Fisher was playing in his first match since sustaining an injury two weeks ago.
