Final Stats

LORMAN, Miss. - Nicholls men's and women's teams picked up wins at Alcorn State on Wednesday afternoon, with the men recording a 7-0 victory while the women prevailed 5-2.

The men, who stand with an 11-8 season's record, notched their seventh shutout victory of the season, and were led by senior Abhaya Prakash and sophomore Radu Ionescu in singles play. Prakash posted a 6-1, 6-2 victory in the No.1 slot in the lineup, while Ionescu recorded a 6-1, 6-1 win at the No.2 spot.

The women, who are currently 9-8 on the season, were playing with just five players, and still managed to get the hard fought victory. Leading the charge for the team were sophomores Florina Nosca, Natalia Zamora, and Sumana Kalyanasundram whom all posted victories in singles play.

The Colonels will close out their season at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Monday April 20.
