HAMMOND, La. - Nicholls men's tennis had its four-game winning streak come to halt on Wednesday when they lost a hard fought 4-3 match to Southeastern La. at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.

The Colonels (7-7, 0-3 SLC) won three singles matches, but fell victim to the doubles point in the loss. Getting wins against the Lions (7-8, 1-2 SLC) in singles action were sophomore Radu Ionescu, senior Abhaya Prakash and junior Phenyo Matong.

Ionescu posted a 7-6, 7-6 victory over Stephan Siska in No.1 singles, while Prakash defeated Benjamin Enke 6-4, 6-1 at the No.3 spot in the lineup. Matong's victory came against Damien Cordoba, posting a 6-0, 6-2 win.
