Final Stats

THIBODAUX, La. - Nicholls women's tennis team suffered a 6-1 setback at Texas-A&M Corpus Christi on Monday to end its 2009 season.

The Colonels (9-9, 2-7) only victory in the match came in No.2 singles play with sophomore Natalia Zamora posting a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Nina Ciric. Sophomore Sumana Kalyanasundram and junior Sanja Stanojcic stretched their matches to three sets, but could not get the victory.

However, the loss did not take away from the program's success, posting its second consecutive season with a .500 or better overall record. Zamora and Stanojcic also posted back-to-back winning seasons in singles play, while Kalyanasundram and sophomore Florina Nosca finished with 9-9 records in singles this season.
