Final Stats

THIBODAUX, La. - Nicholls women's tennis team suffered two losses over the weekend, falling 5-2 to Texas State on Saturday and 4-1 to Texas-Arlington on Sunday at the Colonel Tennis Complex.

The Colonels (5-7, 1-6) only had two wins in singles play against Texas State (9-5, 6-3) with sophomores Natalia Zamora and Sumana Kalyanasundram each notching victories. Zamora got her victory in two sets, while Kalyanasundram went the distance in three sets to get her victory.

Nicholls then went on to lose 4-1 to Texas-Arlington (12-6, 9-0) on Sunday with its lone win being posted by Zamora in singles play. Zamora picked up a 6-2, 6-3 victory in No.2 singles against the Mavericks.

The Colonels will be back in action on Thursday April 9 at Southern.
