Final Stats

HAMMOND, La. - The Nicholls State University women's tennis team fell 5-2 at conference at in-state foe Southeastern La. on Saturday afternoon.

The Colonels (4-6, 1-5 Southland) only two wins in the match came in singles play with junior Natalia Zamora coming away with a 6-4, 6-3 win at the No. 2 spot, and senior Sanja Stanojcic snagged a 6-2, 6-4 victory at the No. 5 position.

Both juniors Florina Nosca and Melissa Harrison took their opponents the distance to three sets, but failed to get wins.

Nicholls will be back in action on Saturday in the Colonel Tennis Complex against Texas-Pan American. First serve is set for 12 p.m.
