In game one, UT-Arlington's Callie Collins tossed a complete game, holding Nicholls to one run while striking out 10 batters, and the Mavs offense scored four on eight hits to take the matchup 4-1.

The Colonels' Katie Holmes drove in Whitney Roan, who reached on a single, in the fifth on an RBI double for Nicholls' lone run. Tori Lay recorded the other hit for Nicholls.

Ashton Bennett (5-8) picked up her seventh complete game of the season, throwing six innings while striking out a season-high six batters. She gave up three earned runs in the loss.

For the second contest, Megan Gaspard led the game off with a single but the Colonels would get only two hits the rest the way as UT-Arlington completed the twin-bill sweep with a 4-0 victory.
