Nicholls had 56 student-athletes named to the spring honor roll and had 129 recognized during the 2012-13 season
2013 Southland Conference Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll
FRISCO, Texas. – The Southland Conference released its Commissioner's honor roll for the 2013 spring semester today and 56 Nicholls State University student-athletes made the cut, with six maintaining perfect 4.0 grade point averages in the most recent semester.
The combined duo of the men's and women's tennis team placed 13 student-athletes on the list, with baseball and women's track and field having 12 honorees each. Of the six 4.0 earners, three came from the women's track and field side, with Tessni Carruthers, Kryshell Rolle and Aja Scott each achieving that feat, with Catherine Gauthier of the tennis team, Jenny Nash from women's basketball and Adam Seal from baseball being the other three.
When coupled with the 73 student-athletes who were named to the 2012 Fall Commissioner's honor roll list, Nicholls had a record-high total of 129 students recognized for their academic work during the athletic year, breezing past last year's total of 116 and the 105 from the 2010-11 season.
