MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Nicholls State University softball team was scheduled to play in the Blues City Classic tournament in Memphis this weekend but the tournament has been canceled due to current and impending inclement weather.
 
Ice and snow hit the area this week and the threat of further storms this weekend forced the cancelation of the tournament. The classic will not be rescheduled.
 
Nicholls will return to action with a doubleheader at home against Alcorn State on Tuesday, Feb. 24. Game One is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
