ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Nicholls State University Athletic department would like to congratulate Katie Callahan on receiving the KP Sports Sales Executive of the Year award.
 
The annual honor is given to the KP Sports sales professional that demonstrates significant growth in corporate sponsorship revenues and represents their university in the most professional and seamless manner with corporate partners.
 
"We are very proud of Katie," Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs Brandon Ruttley said. "Not only is she a very successful sales rep for us but she is also a former Nicholls student athlete. As athletic administrators, being able to hire former players is a very gratifying part of our job, especially when they have this kind of success. Katie has been a homerun hire for us!"
 
In 2014, Callahan was able to secure over $400,000 in sales for Nicholls Athletics, and increased the number of corporate sponsors to 54.
 
"Katie earned the award for Sales Executive of the Year because of her total sales, growth in revenue and overall professional representation of KP Sports through our partnership with Nicholls State University," KP Sports President Kerry Perry said.
 
A Houston, Texas native, Callahan works with local, regional and national partners on strategic marketing initiatives. She is a former Colonel softball standout and is married to Chris Callahan.
