INFLCR and The Southland Conference Announce Trailblazing Partnership

FRISCO, Texas – INFLCR and the Southland Conference, announced an elevated and first-of-its-kind Conference partnership within the collegiate NIL landscape. The conference-wide agreement provides an INFLCR Exchange marketplace for every school, providing tools for all student-athletes to help them build their brand, manage their NIL, and make local, state, and national connections for NIL deals.

Under the leadership of Chris Grant, The Southland Conference becomes the first conference in Division I collegiate athletics to implement custom-branded INFLCR NIL marketplaces for all institutions and student-athletes. INFLCR is the most used NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) solution in Division I college athletics, serving over 200 institutions and nearly 100,000 student-athletes. "This partnership with INFLCR empowers every Southland Conference institution and student-athlete with unparalleled technology, catapulting them to the forefront of innovation in intercollegiate athletics," proclaimed Chris Grant, Southland Conference Commissioner. "Undeniably driven by our athletic directors' unwavering vision, we strive to furnish our student-athletes with every conceivable resource permitted by the NCAA, and this remarkable partnership unequivocally delivers on that promise."

Every school in the Southland Conference will have a custom-branded NIL Exchange that will serve as a front door for NIL deals, allowing interested parties - such as brands, collectives, donors, and fans to register to work directly with Southland student-athletes. Administrators will have an expanded toolset, giving them visibility into NIL deals and a clear pathway to connect with student-athletes to provide education and guidance.

"It's been an honor to work with Commissioner Grant on this partnership; his vision drove this partnership in conjunction with the athletic director's decisive commitment to providing their student-athletes with the best NIL tools available," said Kevin Barefoot, VP of Business Development at Teamworks."  This deal is a first of its kind, and it's led by an FCS conference which is even more exciting to see. We hear about the top 1% of NIL deals, but NIL is for all, and it starts with having the right tools, setting a strategy, and taking advantage of the opportunities."

In a resounding display of commitment to all Southland student-athletes, Commissioner Grant has embarked on an extraordinary endeavor. Not content with merely implementing custom NIL Exchanges across all member institutions, the Southland has gone above and beyond by adding the exceptional talent of Charles Davis as the Assistant Commissioner of Creative Media & NIL Brand Strategy. Boasting an impressive track record of over 18 years in the realm of creativity, Davis has spearheaded creative teams within collegiate athletic departments and, most recently, the XFL. Now, Davis assumes a pivotal role in the Southland Conference, focusing on propelling student-athletes to unparalleled heights in their NIL ventures. With an unwavering dedication to shaping strategy and harnessing the full potential of the INFLCR technology, Davis's appointment signifies a bold stride toward redefining the Conference's role in shaping the future of collegiate sports through NIL.
