2012 Season (Junior): Started 41 of 44 games played in her first season with the Colonels… hit .259 (30 hits) and was second on the team with 24 RBIs… recorded six multi-hit games, including a career-high three against ULM (3/28)… had a six-game hitting streak… was fourth in the Southland in doubles (12)… had two triples and three home runs… her first homer as a Colonel came against Centenary (4/11)… posted a .474 slugging percentage… stole three bases and walked three times… earned LSWA Player of the Week (4/4) after hitting .438 with seven RBIs in five games.

At LSU-Eunice: Played two seasons for the Lady Bengals, helping lead the team to a 105-19 record which included a NJCAA National Championship in 2011… had a 23-5 record in the circle… posted a 1.67 ERA in 2011… hit .290 with 36 RBIs as a senior.

At St. Edmund: Was a standout performer in both softball and basketball… named all-state in softball as a senior… earned first-team all-district and all-parish four times… also garnered all-district and all-parish honors in basketball.. member of the National Honor Society, National Merit Society and ACT +22 Club… was an athletic trainer for the football team.

Personal: Leah Christine Andrus was born on June 5, 1991 in Eunice… daughter of Tom and Rachel Andrus… has an older sister, Erica Zaunbrecher, and two older brothers, Josh and Heath… her father played football at McNeese, while her mother played basketball… sister played basketball at LSU-Eunice… majoring allied health with a concentration in physical therapy… career goal is to become an athletic trainer/physical therapist.
