2012 Season (Junior): Had 16 starts in 24 appearances in the circle… posted a 3.16 ERA, which ranked 11th in the Southland, and an 8-10 record… led the Colonels in ERA, wins, shutouts and opponent batting average (.227)… fanned 50 batters… had 10 complete games and three shutouts, with one coming against Southland champion Texas State (4/1)… tossed 5.2 hitless innings of relief against Alcorn St. (2/22)… went 6-4 in conference with a 1.27 ERA, which ranked sixth in league play… in her final 13 appearances, surrendered just 14 earned runs in 69.1 innings… at the plate, batted .264 with 24 hits, including one double… recorded five multi-hit games including going 3-for-3 with two RBIs vs. Sam Houston (3/16)… hit her only home run of the season against McNeese (4/24)… scored six runs and drove in eight… drew three walks… stole one base. 

2011 Season (Sophomore): Started in 17 of 31 appearances in the circle… had two shutouts, including a one-hitter against Southeastern La., with the hit coming with two outs in the sixth… led the staff in ERA (2.95), wins (7), innings pitched (142.1) and strikeouts (82)… struck out eight batters on two different occasions… at the plate, hit .192 with three doubles, a home run and five RBIs... drew five base on balls.

2010 Season (Freshman): Started 30 of 36 games played… tallied 26 hits for a .313 batting average… recorded two doubles and three home runs… finished with a .458 slugging percentage… drove in 16 runs while scoring 12… drew three walks… was successful on only base-stealing attempt… pitched in seven games with four starts… had an 0-2 record with a 4.42 ERA… picked up one save… struck out 23 batters in 25.1 innings.

At Doyle: Named all-district all four years for the Tigers, while also taking home District MVP honors in 2008 and 2009... also selected to the all-state team in 2008 and 2009... dubbed with all-metro honors from 2007 to 2009... as a senior, batted .523 with an on-base percentage of .557... was a Beta club member.

Personal: Ashton Nicole Bennett was born on July 12, 1991 in Hammond, La... daughter of Tommy Bennett and Christina Boutwell... has a total of six siblings: Brittany, Hailey and Thomas Bennett; Jacob, Joshua and Mackenzie Boutwell... majoring in general studies.
