At Brenham: Played softball and volleyball for the Cubs... earned first-team all-district twice in softball... named first-team All Brazos Valley Outfielder in 2012... named first-team all-district in volleyball as a senior... helped lead her volleyball team to back-to-back state runners-up... was an academic all-district performer in both sports in all four years... member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Olivia Noel Van Hook was born Dec. 9, 1994 in College Station, Texas... daughter of Kyle and Loyce Van Hook... has two older siblings - Clay and Vanessa...  her father played at TCU and has worked as a baseball scout for the Seattle Mariners and Cleveland Indians... her brother Clay played baseball at Texas and is an assistant coach at Rice and her brother-in-law Scott Shepperd played at Concordia and is also a coach at Rice... majoring in human performance education... career ambition is to become a college softball coach.
