Nicholls State University

In October of 2007, Norby Chabert returned to his alma mater to the new position of Associate Director of Development, Marketing and Promotions for athletics. A 2001 Bachelor of Arts graduate, Chabert will be in charge of helping raise money for Nicholls Athletics. After an eight year stint as a private political consultant and fundraiser, the Little Caillou native decided to put his talents to work for the his Alma Mater. Prior to joining Nicholls, Chabert served as member of the Colonel Club Board of Advisors. While on the board, he created one of Nicholls best athletic fundraisers - Colonel Pride Night; which is held every August and serves as one of the starting points for Nicholls[apos] athletic year. On campus, Chabert serves as the faculty advisor to the new student Booster club, [quote]The Cavalry![quote] He also serves as athletics committee chairman for the Nicholls 60th anniversary committee. The 32-year-old is very active in the community serving as a member of the Board of Director for the Leonard J. Chabert Medical Center Foundation, as well as serving as fundraising chairman for the Friends of South Terrebonne High School. Chabert is an avid sportsman, dog lover, cook and he enjoys tending his robust kitchen garden at his home in downtown Old Houma.
