Carli Cutler is in her first season as an assistant coach for the Colonels in 2021-2022 where she will serve as the pitching coach.
Cutler comes to Thibodaux after spending the 2021 season as a graduate assistant with Fresno State where the Bulldogs won a Mountain West championship and made an appearance in the 2021 NCAA Tournament. Fresno State Posted a 37-12 overall record with an impressive 20-4 mark in conference play.
In her time at Fresno State, Cutler served as a supporting role to a pitching staff that produced the Mountain West Pitcher of the Year and an NFCA All-Region Pitcher. The Bulldogs staff led the conference in ERA (1.99), strikeouts (365), and opposing batting average (.225).
As a student-athlete, Cutler was a 2020 graduate from the University of Connecticut where she played four seasons for the Huskies. In her time at UConn, she was an American Athletic Conference two-time all-league player and a member of the all-rookie in her freshman season. Cutler played multiple roles for the Huskies as a pitcher, infielder, and hitter. As a team captain, her leadership was key in the development of the UConn program leading the 2020 team to their best start in 20 years prior to the end of the shortened season.
Cutler earned her bachelor’s degree in sport management from the University of Connecticut and is currently pursuing a master’s in sport psychology from Fresno State.
