Adam Gardner

Adam Gardner enters his second season as the tight ends coach for Nicholls.

Gardner, a graduate of Nicholls in 2004, comes back to his alma mater after serving as a defensive and offensive line coach at De La Salle High School since 2007. Besides coaching football, Gardner was an assistant basketball coach, an assistant track and field coach, and assistant strength and conditioning coach. The New Orleans native has also been teaching history at the school.

Prior to his stint at De La Salle, Gardner was a student assistant coach for Southern Miss in 2005.

Gardner graduated from Nicholls with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and earned two letters as an offensive lineman for the Colonel football team. He concluded his playing career by being named second-team all-conference as a senior.

Gardner started his collegiate playing career with Southern Miss before transferring to Nicholls prior to his junior campaign.

As a prep athlete at De La Salle, Gardner played football and basketball where he was elected team captain for both squads as a senior. Also during his senior year, he received all-district and all-metro honors for football.

Gardner currently resides in Thibodaux.
