The Colonels will look to stretch their win streak to five and sweep the Jaguars on Tuesday night in Mobile
THIBODAUX - After retruning to the .500 mark and clinching its first sweep of a road Southland Conference series in nine years, the Nicholls State University baseball team (16-16) will look to tie its longest win streak of the season, and clinch a season sweep of the Jaguars when Nicholls heads to Mobile for a Tuesday night matchup with South Alabama.
The Colonels head into the contest riding high after a sweep of Northwestern State on the road over the weekend stretched Nicholls win streak to four games. The Colonels have won five of their last six and eight of their last ten.
A win over South Alabama would match Nicholls' longest win streak of the season, a stretch of five consecutive wins from Feb. 23-March 1. A victory over South Alabama would also clinch a season sweep of the Jaguars for the Colonels, after Nicholls scored an 11-2 win over South Alabama in Thibodaux on March 1.
First pitch between the Colonels and Jaguars is set for 6 p.m. in Mobile. A free live streaming webcast will be made available at
