Final Stats Alcorn, Miss. - Riding a wave of confidence that's been building over the last three weeks, the Nicholls State women's volleyball team won it's eighth consecutive match, defeating the Alcorn State Braves in straight sets (25-12, 25-11, 25-7) Wednesday night. The Colonels (9-3) continued to become stronger as the match went on, holding Alcorn State to a total of 30 points in the match, and over the last eight matches have outscored their opponents 654-417.

Nicholls will return to action Friday night for the start of the 2011 PRO-MAG Bayou Invitational hosting Alabama A&M, Grambling and UL-Monroe.
