The women's soccer team is on a four-game winning streak after defeating Grambling 1-0 Friday.
GRAMBLING, La. – The Nicholls State women's soccer team traveled to Grambling on Friday to take on the winless Tigers and departed north Louisiana with a 1-0 victory, the team's fourth straight.
The Colonels improve to 5-3-1 on the year, while the Tigers fall to 0-8.
Melissa Pestalozzi earned her first goal of the season in the 61st minute taking a played ball from
Janelle Brandom and finding the back of the net to give the Colonels the 1-0 lead, and eventual final, and only, score of the game.
