The game will be broadcast live on Southland TV, with live streaming available on SLCNow and ESPN3. Regional TV affiliates include WHNO 20.1 (New Orleans) and KWBJ 22 (Morgan City). For the complete list of affilates, please click here.

Nicholls (1-6, 0-4) is in the midst of a four-game losing streak after suffering a 27-26 loss at Northwestern State last Saturday. The Colonels are 0-5 on the road this season, but have split their two home games, defeating Evangel 73-17 in their opener before being shutout by Sam Houston State, 41-0. Dating back to last season, Nicholls has lost 11 consecutive games in conference.

McNeese (5-3, 2-3) defeated Stephen F. Austin in its homecoming game last week, dropping the Lumberjacks 35-24. In conference, the Cowboys' other win came against Northwestern State, while two of their three losses were by one point each (25-24 vs. SLU and 27-26 vs. UCA).

The Cowboys bring the nation's 17th best rushing attack, averaging 208.9 yards per game. Marcus Wiltz is third in the Southland in rushing (68.7 ypg), followed closely by Javaris Murray (59.2 ypg). The duo has combined for six rushing touchdowns and average over five yards per carry.

Last weekend at NSU, the Colonels surrendered 200-plus yards on the ground for the fourth time this season. Nicholls will try to slow down McNeese by installing a 3-3-5 scheme on defense. Normally featuring a 3-4 package, the Colonels hope the change will improve their defensive numbers as Nicholls is last in the league total defense, giving up 443.4 yards per game.

On offense, the Colonels received a much needed boost as wildcat quarterback LaQuintin Caston returned after missing four games with an injury. In Nicholls opening drive versus the Demons, the Colonels marched 96 yards for a touchdown as head coach Charlie Stubbs was able to regularly swap Caston and Landry Klann. For the game, Caston finished with 57 yards rushing on 10 carries, helping Nicholls score three touchdowns for only the second time this season.

Klann tossed two touchdown passes in the loss at NSU, giving the junior seven on the season. After seven games, Klann has 1,288 passing yards and ranks fifth in the Southland with 184 yards per game. Klann continues to spread the ball around as four Colonels have at least 10 receptions, and four have over 200 yards receiving. Leading Nicholls in receptions is Jesse Turner with 22 for 259 yards and two touchdowns.

Nicholls will be looking to snap a three-game skid in the series, with McNeese winning last year in Lake Charles, 26-17. The Cowboys hold a 25-11 advantage and have won eight of the last nine games in Thibodaux.
