THIBODAUX  – The Nicholls State University men's and women's tennis matches against Abilene Christian on Friday in Lafayette have been canceled due to inclement weather.

Both teams return to action on Saturday at the Colonel Tennis Complex, with the women taking on ULM at 10:30 a.m., and the men will face Florida A&M at 1 p.m.

The match will be the home debut for women as they opened the season at South Alabama last week. Junior Parija Majoo was perfect in the match, winning in straight sets in singles while also claiming her doubles bout.

The men's team (1-1) will be looking to win its second straight match after defeating Oral Roberts last Friday, 7-0. After going 2-0 against ORU, junior Roy Knight went on to earn Southland Conference Player of the Week for the first time in his career. Knight is 2-0 in singles, while splitting his two doubles matches.
