Colonels Tackle Two in Midweek Action Tuesday and Wednesday

THIBODAUX, La. – After a rough weekend hosting the Colonel Round Robin, the Nicholls baseball team will play two midweek games beginning with hosting LSU-Alexandria Tuesday night in Thibodaux at 6:30 p.m., before traveling to Lorman, Miss. to face the Alcorn State Braves Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m.  
 
The Opening Pitch
Nicholls dropped all three games of the round robin this weekend, falling to Stony Brook twice and Alabama State once to fall to 2-5 on the year… Michael LeGrange continues to have a strong start to the season driving in five runs over the weekend on four hits, two for extra bases… Nicholls committed nine errors over the weekend, while opponents committed just two… Nicholls pitching gave up 18 runs over the weekend, but only half of those were actually earned. However, the staff gave up 30 hits to only 21 on the Seawolves and Hornets.
