THIBODAUX, La. – After pulling out the final victory against the UTA Mavericks last Saturday, the Nicholls baseball team will take on the Tulane Green Wave Tuesday night in New Orleans. The Colonels still have yet to drop a midweek game, but against Tulane, the Colonels have only beaten the Green Wave twice since 2000. Tulane is 17-6 at home this year, but is coming off of a series loss to No. 9 Rice on its home turf.              
 
The Opening Pitch
The Colonels are coming off of a win in the series finale against UT-Arlington last Saturday... Nicholls dropped the series 2-1 to the Mavs, but are in a tie for seventh in the conference standings... Mike Wisecarver picked up his first win of the year on Saturday, giving up two runs, neither earned in more than six innings of work... The Colonels are now 10-7 away from Thibodaux, just three wins shy of tying the best win total on the road in the last 12 years... Nicholls is now 1-2 in extra inning games... Nicholls is 3-3 in games decided by one run.

Tulane holds a 53-22 advantage in all-time meetings against the Colonels... Since 2003 the Colonels are 1-15, with their only win coming at Zephyr Field in Metarie in 2006... Since 2000, the Colonels have only beaten the Green Wave twice in the last 23 games... Nicholls and Tulane's baseball history dates back to 1963, as the two have played each other no less than once every year since the early 90's.
