NACOGDOCHES, Texas – The Nicholls State University women's basketball team will close out its four-game conference road swing on Saturday, taking on the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks at William R. Johnson Coliseum.

The matchup can be heard on KNSU 91.5 FM, with audio streaming available on Colonels All-Access. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.

The Colonels (11-5, 3-2) had their three-game winning streak snapped on Thursday at Northwestern State after Nicholls was unable to hold on to a seven-point lead late in the game. The loss dropped the Colonels' road record this season to 5-4 and kept Nicholls from moving into a first-place tie in the Southland Conference standings.

Nicholls failed to score at least 60 points for the sixth time this season, which has been the magic number as the Colonels are 10-0 when scoring 60 or more. Points could be tough to come by against Stephen F. Austin (7-10, 2-4) with the Ladyjacks holding Southeastern to just 38 in their last game.

Last season, the Colonels and Ladyjacks split the season series, with Jenny Nash's last-second 3-pointer giving Nicholls a 64-63 win in Thibodaux. However, SFA avenged the loss in the semifinals of the Southland Conference Tournament, knocking off the Colonels 66-57.

On Thursday, Alisha Allen scored 13 for the Colonels and leads the team with a 14.6 point per game average. For SFA, Porsha Roberts scored 19 of the Ladyjacks' 80 points to increase her average to 13 points.

SFA leads the all-time series 38-5. Nicholls won the last matchup in Nacogdoches on Feb. 9, 2011, 75-62, behind 20-point performances from KK Babin (22) and Allen (20).

After Saturday's contest, Nicholls will return home for its next two games, starting Thursday, Jan. 24 against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi for Stuff Stopher Night. In addition, the game will be a Red Out and a pregame tailgate event will begin at 3 p.m.
