Final Stats TULSA, Okla. – The Nicholls State University women's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles Friday night at the Case Soccer Complex in Tulsa, as Misty Tatom scored the only Colonel goal of the night in the 58th minute.

It's the third-straight loss for Nicholls (9-3-1, 3-3 SLC) as league leading ORU improves its record to 10-3 and 5-1 in league action.

Tatom scored her first goal in a Nicholls uniform on Friday, as she headed in a ball off of a free kick from Renee Bruns who was credited with the assist. Unfortunately, the match was well in hand for ORU who scored two goals in the first half and got the third just three minutes prior to the Tatom winner.

Each team finished with 17 total shots on the night, with Nicholls taking just three in the first half and 14 in the second, but had just eight shots on target to ORU's 11. Spencer Valdespino led all players with six total shots on the night, but had just one shot on goal in the match.

ORU's main attack came from just three players, as Megan Giles scored the game's first goal with the assist going to Mary-Kate Halsmer, as Giles then assisted on the first of back-to-back goals from Kayla Keller in the 29th minute with Halsmer earning her second assist of the match in the 55th minute goal by Keller to put the Golden Eagles up 3-0.

The Colonels will be back in action on Sunday afternoon, taking on the Central Arkansas Sugar Bears in Conway.
