THIBODAUX, La.  – There is a big change in the works for KLRZ-FM in Larose, which serves as the flagship of the Colonel Sports Radio Network.

"We're excited to announce that on New Year's Day, KLRZ 100.3 FM will change formats to ESPN Radio," said Andrea Galjour, Coastal Broadcasting Network Operations Manager. "KLEB 1600 AM will still air our local programs along with Cajun, Swamp Pop and Zydeco music."

The new ESPN Radio 100.3 will feature a daily lineup of Mike & Mike from 5-9 a.m., followed by The Herd with Colin Cowherd from 9-11 a.m. Ken Friedlander, the longtime host of The Rajun Cajun Sports Corner, is slated to host a local show from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. The station will then carry SVP & Russillo from 1-3 p.m., a simulcast of 104.5 ESPN Baton Rouge's After Further Review with Matt Moscana and another local show from 6-8 p.m.

Nicholls football and men's basketball games can be heard on both ESPN 100.3 and KLEB 1600 AM.

"This is exciting for us," said Mike Wagenheim, Nicholls Assistant Athletic Director for Communications. "For the first time in our history, we're on a station dedicated to sports. Fans from across the New Orleans metropolitan area and the entire region will find Nicholls Athletics synonymous with the most important, valued brand in all of sports media. We are tremendously grateful for our relationship with Coastal Broadcasting."

The first Nicholls broadcast on the new ESPN Radio 100.3 is set for this Saturday, Jan. 4, when the Colonel men's basketball team plays host to Southeastern Louisiana at 3:30 p.m.
