Nicholls was shutout on Saturday against nationally-ranked LSU
BATON ROUGE, La. – The Nicholls State University women's tennis team saw its five-match winning streak snapped as the Colonels fell 7-0 against No. 54 LSU on Saturday afternoon at W.T. Robinson Stadium.
LSU (6-3) pitched a shutout in the completed doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead.

Isla Brock trailed 6-4 in the No. 3 match before it was called.
In singles, the Lady Tigers quickly clinched the match by winning the first three matches, which saw LSU win four of the six sets 6-0. For the final three flights, Brock lost 6-2, 6-4 at No. 5, Cardiff fell in the top spot 7-5, 6-1 and Aubert lost the No. 2 match.
Nicholls returns to the courts on Sunday at Louisiana Tech, with first serve scheduled for 1 p.m.
