THIBODAUX, La. - The Nicholls State University women's basketball team will continue its tough non-conference slate with a Wednesday night matchup at Tulane. Tipoff at the Devlin Fieldhouse scheduled for 7 p.m.

Nicholls (2-2) and Tulane (5-1) will square off for the 42nd time, with Tulane holding a commanding 29-12 advantage. The Green Wave have won the last 13 games in the series, including the last matchup, 84-65, on Dec. 29, 2010.
 
The Colonels are coming off a split in their trip to Nashville in the Teresa Phillips Thanksgiving Classic, falling 51-50 to undefeated Youngstown State before winning in overtime against Norfolk State, 69-64. Senior guard Jenny Nash was named all-tournament after averaging 15 points and 9.5 rebounds.
 
Nash heads into the game averaging 14.3 points, which ranks second on the team. Nash tied her career-high with 11 rebounds in the Colonels' win over Norfolk for her second double-double of the season and leads the team with 8.3 rebounds per contest. Despite only scoring 14 points in the two games over the weekend, New Orleans native Emani White still heads the offense at 15.3 ppg.
 
Tulane rebounded from its first loss of the season with a 71-48 win over Northern Iowa. The Green Wave started out the season 4-0 before dropping a 69-64 decision to Western Kentucky.
Tulane has outscored its opposition by 15.5 points per game, holding teams to just 52.5 points per game and 33 percent shooting from the field.
 
Kolby Morgan leads Tulane in points and rebounding, averaging 15.3 points and 7.2 boards per game. Morgan had a double-double in her last game as well, scoring 11 points with 10 rebounds.
 
Following Wednesday night's game, Nicholls will play its second home game of the season, hosting South Alabama on Saturday, Dec. 6. Tipoff at Stopher Gym is scheduled for 1 p.m.
